How hints work

Many hint pages show the answer as soon as you land on them. Here, everything starts covered and you choose how far to go.

Three layers

1. Where to look. A direction only: a row, a region, a corner of the board. No answer, no rule.
2. What to think. The idea that unlocks the next move, and the trap that catches people at this point.
3. The answer for one cell. One square, not the whole board. You still finish it yourself.

A layer stays shut until you open the one before it. Opening a layer counts as a hint used, and your solve time shows the count next to it, so you always know what you leaned on.

What you can count on

• Nothing is visible until you tap it.
• Hints are worked out from your board as it is now, not from a fixed script. They follow the next step a person could take, and if you have made a mistake, the hint tells you that first.
• We explain the reasoning, not just the result, so the next puzzle goes faster.

Hints for other daily puzzles

When we cover a well-known daily puzzle from another publisher, the page follows the same three layers and describes the puzzle in our own words. We do not copy the publisher's puzzle content, and we are not connected to them in any way.
